In November of 1999, the South Carolina Dept. of Natural Resources dropped 20 armored personnel carriers at a site about 10 miles from Little River Inlet. Pictured above, the crane operator lowers the cars one by one to the sandy bottom. This was the first step in what would later become a much larger project! | |||
